Small Design Details to Elevate Your Home

When working with our designers to create your dream home, there are a lot of big decisions you have to make like the color of the siding, how many rooms, the layout, a bathtub or walk in shower, color schemes, and so much more. But what about the little things that just make your home that much better? Here are some of our favorite extra touches to help add an extra flair to your home!

Ceiling Beams

Ceiling beams can be necessary for structure, but they can also add a nice contrast to your home and an extra focal point to the room.

Infinity Edge Countertops

This is a hidden gem of a design element that isn’t seen too often. Continuing the countertop down the side of an island adds an extra ounce of extravagance. We love this technique to really push a kitchen over the edge of luxury!

Open Shelving

If you’re an organized person, open shelving in your kitchen is a great way to open up your space. If you tend to be a more cluttered house, we wouldn’t recommend this though!

Floor to Ceiling Windows

Wisconsin landscapes can be some of the most gorgeous views available. That’s why we love floor to ceiling windows when you have a breathtaking view outside! This allows extra light to come in and gives you more opportunities to enjoy nature while in the comfort of your living room!

Custom Stair Railings

We LOVE doing custom railings. This glass railing is one of our favorites. While its a minor detail that would go unnoticed normally, this custom railing will catch everyone’s eye and be a great focal point for this room!

Custom Fireplace Mantel

First, can we appreciate our dedicated team testing out the structural integrity here?! We always promise the best when it comes to the durability of our homes! Second, we couldn’t be more obsessed with this custom mantel in this Mount Pleasant home!

Shower and Tub Combo… With a Twist

Most of the time a shower/tub combo is the shower within the tub… but this one the tub is in the walk in shower! This can prevent water damage if splashed and also saves space when you don’t necessarily have enough room for a separate walk in shower and soaking tub! And it just looks really cool!

We absolutely love these unique additions to some of our favorite homes! We have so many more we’d love to share with you too! Check out our project page for more of our custom home designs and head over to our Facebook page to stay up to date on all our new homes we are working on!
